Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Restaurant Hostess and Cashier, where your enthusiasm and exceptional customer service skills will create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and ready work on weekends (Specially Friday Sat and Sun). In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact, greeting guests with warmth, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. As a cashier, you’ll handle transactions efficiently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Your energy and hospitality will set the tone for an outstanding dining experience that keeps guests coming back.
Duties
- Welcome guests with a friendly smile and assist them in seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize table turnover
- Answer guest inquiries via phone and in person with clear communication and excellent phone etiquette
- Process customer payments accurately through various POS platforms, ensuring quick and seamless checkouts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to uphold a professional appearance
- Assist with guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to enhance overall satisfaction
- Support restaurant operations during busy hours by coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
Qualifications
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred, with a strong focus on customer service excellence
- Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest services, and hospitality standards is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Strong phone etiquette skills for managing reservations and guest inquiries professionally
- Previous hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not required
