American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU (NICU) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience and an active IL RN license.

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)

Works in a hospital NICU setting
-
Neonatal patient population, including monitoring intake/output and baby-friendly/breastfeeding care
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Level 1 Trauma facility experience required
-
5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
-
Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday basis
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
No floating requirements
-
Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)

Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience

ASN required; BSN preferred

Epic EMR experience required

Responsibilities include neonatal patient monitoring, medication administration via barcode scanning, breastfeeding initiation support, and documentation of nursing care

Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and patient care communication

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract

Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for more than 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any of its locations
