A Hands-On Service Career with an Established Customer Base
Gurtler Industries is seeking a Commercial Laundry Field Service & Sales Representative to support established commercial laundry customers throughout the TN and KY territory involving regional travel.
This is primarily a customer service and technical field-support position. Approximately 80% of the role involves servicing existing customer accounts, maintaining automated chemical dispensing systems, troubleshooting equipment, training customer employees, and helping customers improve laundry performance.
The remaining portion of the role involves identifying opportunities to provide additional products, services, and solutions to existing customers.
This is not a traditional office or remote sales position. The successful candidate will work from a home-based location and travel regularly to customer facilities throughout the assigned territory.
Because our representatives work independently and our managers also maintain sales responsibilities, candidates with previous commercial laundry or closely related field-service experience will receive strongest consideration.
Territory and Travel
- Home-based field position located in or near Nashville, TN
- Territory includes TN, KY and surrounding areas
- Approximately 50% regional travel
- Occasional overnight travel
- Monthly vehicle allowance
- Mileage, lodging, meals, and approved business expenses reimbursed
What You Will Do
- Service and maintain automated chemical dispensing systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues
- Visit established customer accounts on a regular basis
- Train customer employees on equipment use and laundry procedures
- Respond to service concerns and resolve customer issues
- Build long-term relationships with customer teams
- Manage your territory, schedule, and service priorities independently
- Recommend additional products or services when they would benefit the customer
- Work with customers to improve efficiency, quality, and overall laundry performance
Qualifications
- Previous Commercial Field Service Laundry experience is strongly preferred
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
- Experience working directly with commercial or industrial customers
- Ability to work independently and manage a regional territory
- Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the territory
Preferred Experience
