BENEFITS:
- Base pay for certified Police Officer $19.64 - $20.73 (based on experience)
- Shift differential pay $2.00 more per hour for night shift
- Sign-on bonus:
- Retirement – with only a 2% contribution required, fully vested after 5 yrs
- Insurance – City pays 85% of employee and 60% of family coverage
- POAB – City pays 100%
- Deferred Comp. (401\457) – after 1 year City matches up to 3%
- Vacation buyback at end of year up to 1 week (43hrs)
- 14 Holidays (additional Holiday pay for every holiday)
- Uniforms – (Mandate and Patrol) Provided
- Taser, OC, Asp, Newer Glock 22 (Gen 4)
- In car camera, body cam MDT, Radar ECT
- Take home car provided (within 30 mile radius of City or unless approved by Chief)
Hiring Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possess GA Driver’s License (or be able to obtain one)
- Pass:
- Physical Exam
- Psychological Exam
- Polygraph Exam
- Background Investigation
- Criminal History
- Drivers History
