Join our dynamic team as an Auto Body Technician and play a vital role in restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and craftsmanship. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for performing structural repairs, cosmetic refinishing, and detailed restorations, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. We are looking for an independent contractor (depending on business needs) or part time.
Duties
- Assess vehicle damage thoroughly to determine necessary repairs using automotive structural repair techniques.
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal fabrication, welding repair (MIG welding, automotive welding equipment), and auto restoration processes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive painting equipment to restore vehicles’ appearance and structural integrity.
- Conduct auto painting, auto glass replacement, and automotive cosmetic repair with attention to detail for a flawless finish.
- Apply fabrication repair techniques such as soldering, working with sheet metal and automotive parts installation to ensure durable repairs.
- Utilize auto estimating software and customer service skills to communicate repair needs effectively with clients.
- Engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks necessary for vehicle repairs while maintaining safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar auto repair role, preferably within a dealership environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and automotive dent repair techniques.
- Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and the use of automotive welding equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive parts installation.
- Familiarity with auto restoration processes, auto painting (including airless paint spraying), and automotive body refinishing.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills along with experience in auto estimating are highly desirable.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work on vehicles for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $27.51 - $33.13 per hour
