We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production & Packing Assistant to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Assist in the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure smooth production flow
- Prepare products for packaging by assembling, labeling, and inspecting items according to specified standards
- Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to safety standards in production areas
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with industrial equipment and perform basic mechanical repairs using hand tools
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA regulations, and safety protocols to maintain compliance and a safe working environment
- Support warehouse activities including inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping preparation
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively
- Familiarity with packaging processes and materials handling procedures
- Experience working in manufacturing facilities with knowledge of GMP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and FDA regulations
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience with assembly tasks and using hand tools for mechanical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and ensure a safe workspace
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics and inventory control
