Job Summary:
Vista Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room to join our surgical team. The OR Nurse plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including preoperative assessments and patient education.

Ensure a sterile and safe surgical environment by adhering to infection control and patient safety protocols.

Provide intraoperative nursing care, including monitoring patients, assisting surgeons, and managing surgical instruments.

Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Perform post-anesthesia care and assist with patient recovery as needed.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and surgical procedures.

Respond quickly and effectively to surgical emergencies.
Qualifications:

Active RN license in the state of Insert State.

Minimum of one year of experience in an operating room or perioperative setting preferred.

BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (or willingness to obtain).

Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control practices.

Ability to work well under pressure in a high-stakes environment.
