Job Summary
Xcellence Auto Spa is a premium detailing operation serving North Jersey from our Hawthorne facility and from mobile units at client and fleet sites. We're seeking a detail-oriented Auto Detailing Specialist to deliver cleaning, correction, and restoration services that leave every vehicle pristine — whether it's in our bay or curbside at a customer's location — reflecting our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This is a fast-paced role where your detailing skill and customer service both matter.
No detailing experience required. If you show up on time, take pride in your work, and want to learn a trade, we will train you. Every technician starts on our standard operating procedures and works up from there.

What You Need to Bring
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record — required to operate the mobile unit and move customer vehicles.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Hawthorne shop for every scheduled shift.
- Attention to detail — the willingness to check your own work, catch what others miss, and not call a car finished until it actually is.
- Comfort working with professional detailing chemicals daily; personal protective equipment provided and required.
- Ability to bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather.
- Professional, customer-facing attitude.
Prior detailing, car wash, or automotive experience is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough exterior washing, vehicle paint correction, and automotive buffing to restore vehicles to their optimal shine.
- Conduct interior detailing including vacuuming, upholstery cleaning, dashboard polishing, and odor removal to ensure a spotless vehicle interior.
- Use professional cleaning equipment and automotive buffers safely and effectively to achieve high-quality results.
- Apply safe work practices during all detailing procedures, including heavy lifting and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness standards by inspecting, touch-up cleaning, and ensuring all vehicles meet quality expectations before delivery.
- Assist customers with inquiries related to detailing services, providing friendly and professional customer service at all times.
- Follow established procedures for vehicle exterior washing, paint correction, buffing, and interior detailing to ensure consistency and excellence.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
