Duties
- Administer medications, following strict protocols and HIPAA regulations
- Assist with emergency response procedures, including acute pain management, and triage during health crises or behavioral episodes
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Provide health coaching and support for students as needed
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current CPR/BLS certification
- Proven experience in psychiatric nursing, school health services, or working with individuals with disabilities including behavioral health or mental health conditions
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient records management
- Experience with medication administration including injections
- Ability to perform vital sign assessments, and basic first aid
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, and healthcare providers in a sensitive manner
