Hygge Wellness is seeking a compassionate Sonographer to join our rapidly growing practice 2-3 days a week in Harrisonburg, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient comfort, and providing accurate diagnostic information to physicians. This role requires a strong understanding of sonography principles, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and providers
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Utilize sonography equipment to capture high-resolution images for interpretation by physicians.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess patient conditions.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient care planning.
- Keep accurate records of examinations performed, including patient history and technical data.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices in diagnostic radiology.
