Veterans Contracting Group, Inc. is seeking a high-level Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for a Emergency Room Renovation project at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center (Bronx, NY) — a technically demanding, high-visibility federal healthcare project.
This is live healthcare infrastructure.
This is mission-critical mechanical replacement.
We are looking for a superintendent who understands:
- Active hospital environments
- Federal inspection culture
- Mechanical systems and phasing
- Documentation discipline
- Safety as non-negotiable

What You’ll Own
- Full site leadership for the Emergency Room renovation project
- Direct coordination with VA representatives, CORs, inspectors, and engineers
- Mechanical & MEP phasing execution in an active facility
- Schedule control and field sequencing
- Subcontractor accountability and performance management
- Quality control & documentation discipline
- Daily reports, RFIs, change events, and cost awareness
- Enforcement of OSHA, VA, and environmental standards
- Weekly progress meetings with government stakeholders

Required Qualifications
- 7+ years superintendent experience (federal or healthcare preferred)
- Experience with mechanical plant systems, generators, or infrastructure upgrades strongly preferred
- Proven experience reading and managing from plans & specs
- OSHA 30 (required)
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Experience working directly with government owners
