Supervises: Project Engineers and Design Engineers
Location: Hybrid - remote/office
A project manager directs, supervises and completes a variety of civil and/or structural engineering projects. They direct the work of Project Engineers and Design Engineers along with technical staff for the completion of civil and/or structural engineering projects. Project Managers possess the ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines and possess the ability to prioritize work and maintain client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Professionally represent Brandow & Johnston

Under the guidance of a principal, direct accounting on jobs to bill, review accounting reports, maintaining awareness of budgets

Under the guidance of a principal, write proposals, and negotiate fees
-
Begin to develop Client Contacts
-
Begin to develop lasting relationships with Architects, Owners, Contractors & Clients
-
Direct the flow of work to Project Engineers, Design Engineers and Drafters for projects
-
Plan, organize and execute engineering projects on time, maintaining awareness of budget and quality of service

Provide engineering quality assurance
-
Mentor engineers, developing talent within the company

Inspire, motivate and complement talents of team members
-
Perform other tasks as required

Requirements:
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

8-10 years of professional engineering experience.

Professional engineering license in the State of California to practice Civil or Structural EngineeringStrong technical skills

Ability to exercise independent judgment, plan, assign and evaluate the work of technical and support staff

Ability to perform work on fee and on schedule.

Ability to write technical reports.

Maintain a valid driver's license
