Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
About Us
Launch Pad Learning PMD is a growing preschool in Palmdale dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children and families. We are looking for an organized, professional, and family-focused Enrollment Specialist / Assistant Director to support enrollment, office operations, compliance paperwork, and daily school administration.
This role is primarily focused on enrollment and office administration, with additional Assistant Director responsibilities such as supporting the Director, assisting teachers, helping with classroom needs, and stepping into the classroom when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Respond to enrollment inquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Conduct school tours for prospective families.
- Prepare enrollment packets, registration documents, and family files.
- Maintain accurate student files, personnel files, rosters, and emergency binders.
- Answer phones, manage office emails, and provide general administrative support.
- Assist with state program paperwork, including CACFP and CDE preschool program documentation.
- Track attendance, sign-in sheets, meal counts, menus, and required reports.
- Manage child account information, billing, and reports in Procare or similar systems.
- Assist with invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other office financial tasks.
- Support the Director with daily operations, staff communication, and school organization.
- Help teachers with classroom management, behavior support, and daily routines.
- Assist with DRDPs, ECERS/ITERS, ASQ, and other early childhood program tools as needed.
- Step into the classroom as a substitute teacher when needed.
- Help maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming school office.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 24 Early Childhood Education units required.
- Experience in preschool, childcare, school administration, enrollment, or office management preferred.
- Experience with Procare or another childcare management system is a plus.
- Experience with CACFP, CDE preschool programs, DRDPs, ECERS/ITERS, or ASQ is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy preschool environment.
- Must be willing to assist in classrooms when needed.
Clearance Requirements
- Must be able to obtain DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Index clearance.
- Must meet applicable California childcare licensing requirements.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Palmdale, CA.
