Job Summary
We are seeking a temporary rider to restart mares that have been off work for breeding
They have had extensive groundwork
Mares are large draft crosses and thoroughbred
Mares have abundant energy and are not for a beginner. They are very sweet but since they are green you should expect naughty behavior and have the ability to handle it
Each mare will be groomed and worked about 2 hours daily, as many days per week as possible
The tack will be English
Duties
- Catch and lead from pasture to barn
- Thoroughly groom before riding including pick feet and clip bridlepath and muzzle
- Saddle and bridle with English tack
Requirements
- Experience handling and riding green horses
- Ability to balance. Saddle will be english
- Ability to handle unpredictable behavior from a green horse
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $17.00 per hour
