Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Post Frame Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for building durable, high-quality post frame structures that meet project specifications and safety standards. Duties
- Erect post frame structures from the ground up
- Install windows, doors, all exterior metal and all wood framing components for the job.
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately execute project requirements
- Operate power tools, hand tools, heavy equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently on-site
- Perform framing, metal roofing, metal siding, and other finishing tasks to enhance structural integrity and aesthetic appeal
- Conduct dimensional measurements using tape measures and other tools to ensure precise construction according to plans
- Assist with construction management tasks such as coordinating materials delivery, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting team collaboration
Skills
- 0-3 years of experience in post frame building erection, framing carpentry, and siding installation
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely including skidloaders and scissor lifts when necessary
- Excellent hand tool proficiency along with basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Experience with construction site safety procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and working at heights
- Effective communication skills for interpreting technical instructions and collaborating with team members
