We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking & experienced refrigeration technician for the transport refrigeration equipment repair field. Refrigeration Mechanic needs to be team-oriented, committed to quality work and a quick learner.
Responsibilities of Refrigeration Technician : Include but are not limited to:
- Performing preventative maintenance procedures and repairs on refrigeration containers
- Diagnose and repair/replace compressors, coils, electrical components, etc…
- Use diagnostic equipment to flash controller, diagnose alarms, implement repairs, etc…
- Use repair orders to record all work performed and submit on a daily basis
- Maintain work area in a clean and organized manner
- Ensure timely completion of work according to company regulations and procedures, and instruction from Shop Manager or Sr. Technical Advisor
Requirements of Refrigeration Technician :
- At least 3-5 years of experience with refrigerated equipment or experience working on diesel engines.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the employer's insurance policy
- CDL A or B is a Plus but not required.
- Must be able to pass DOT Physical.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government and company standards for reliability and safety
- Familiar with Thermo King, Carrier, and other transport refrigeration equipment a plus
- Ability to silver solder copper refrigerant lines in close quarters
- Have good verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Certified to use refrigerants, R134a, R404, R410, and others as needed
- May be required to use a laptop computer to diagnose and/or reference repair manuals
- May work in a shop, at our yard, or out of a mobile service vehicle
- Work 24/7 emergency on call rotation approximately 1 week per month
