Responsible for ensuring effective loan service functions for SouthPoint Bank. This position level handles the largest and most complex loans and accounts. Additionally, this position quality checks and reviews the work of Loan Specialists.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Work directly with closing attorneys
· Coordinate and schedule loan closings
· Track and clear exceptions
· Prepare wire request
· Manage past dues
· Manage overdrafts
· Obtains approval and supporting documentation as needed to request loan documents
· Review all commercial and consumer loan documentation for accuracy and compliance
· Works with legal counsel and auditors on various regulatory and compliance issues as well as various special projects; gathers information and researches issues.
· Manages technical exceptions by clearing items on a weekly basis for updated reporting purposes.
· Assists lending staff with questions concerning loan documentation.
· Process draws as requested
· Collect financials from customers
· Schedule inspections as needed for construction draw requests

Education/Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Three to five years of related experience in the banking industry recommended, including loan documentation and document preparation.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; have a high proficiency in Excel spreadsheet software; and Loan Origination software.
