Job Overview
As a Baker, cupcake and cake decorator at Cupcakes and More, you’ll unleash your creativity and passion for baking to craft stunning and delicious cupcakes, cakes and pastries that delight our customers. You will play a vital role in bringing joy to special memories by transforming ideas into edible art. Your expertise in cake decorating, along with your culinary skills, will ensure that every pastry, cupcake or cake not only looks fantastic but also tastes incredible. What you’ll do
- Prepare and bake various cupcake, cake, cookies and more, while adhering to food safety standards.
- Design and decorate cakes or cupcakes according to customer specifications, ensuring high-quality presentation and standards.
- Must be Fast paste and self-starter
- Package finished products attractively for delivery or display in-store.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill catering orders and special requests efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food handling and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with cake selections and custom orders.
- Utilize knife skills for precise cutting and decorating techniques to enhance cake designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends to continually innovate cake designs and flavors.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in cake decorating or a related culinary field at least for 1 year.
Preferred qualifications
- Strong background in food production, preparation, and safety practices.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in pastry or restaurant settings.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- 1-2 years of Bakery/Commercial kitchen experience required.
Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to squeeze and handle decorators' bags for extended period of time.
Ability to read/understand order forms and follow instructions.
Ability to solve problems, help customers when needed
Ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to operate air brushers, mixers and decorating equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have 1 year of bakery experience.
Interviews
will include cake or pastry decorating skills tests to show ability.
