AWT has the following position open in our Minneapolis location: Material Handler
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, Hours are 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements.
General Description of Job: Responsible for the verification, labeling and storage of all incoming materials and managing the stock inventory system (warehouse).
Required Job Duties

Ensures all material in warehouse is properly identified and safely stored
- Ensures all material in “Return” area is assigned warehouse location and promptly returned to inventory
- Removes allocated materials from warehouse, ensures proper identification information (job number, etc.) and stages properly for production as required

Ensures that goods are delivered to the appropriate location or personnel on a timely basis

Ensures all inventory transactions are documented and accurately performed
-
Verifies all incoming materials upon receipt and places in proper location – i.e., warehousing or staging

Ensures product is safely unloaded from trucks with no damage

Ensures that production materials are moved without damage to the production areas promptly and safely as needed
-
Responsible for the quality hold area and that all required inventory transactions are properly processed
-
Drive the cycle count process to ensure inventory accuracy

Ensures all sanitation activities are completed as required and performed thoroughly

Follow documented ISO 9001 procedures

Notifies proper personnel when product has been received; forwards documentation of receiving activities to Accounting;

Verifies that all required documentation (Packing List, COA, COC, etc.) is present or takes appropriate actions to obtain required information;

Participates in continuous improvement and quality projects as requested;

Participates in annual physical inventory count as required;

Interacts with people across the entire organization to provide the required level of information and support.
Physical Job Demands
This position requires being on your feet a majority of the working day; ability to lift 35 lbs. to waist level without assistance; requires a great deal of twisting, bending, and walking; able to use a forklift (trainable).
