Buena Vista Assisted Living is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. In this role, you will provide personalized care and support to residents in our assisted living facility, helping them maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life in a safe, supportive environment.
Important: This position requires applicants to apply and interview in person at Buena Vista Assisted Living, located at 1393 S. Buena Vista Street, Hemet, CA 92543. Please visit the facility Monday through Friday, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, to complete an application and speak with our hiring team. Applicants who do not interview in person will not be considered for employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral hygiene.
- Mobility and Transfer Assistance: Assist residents with walking, transfers (bed to chair/wheelchair), and fall prevention.
- Companionship & Emotional Support: Engage residents in conversation and activities; provide emotional encouragement.
- Meal Assistance: Serve and assist with meals per dietary needs; ensure nutrition and hydration.
- Medication Reminders: Follow facility protocols to ensure medications are taken on time.
- Light Housekeeping: Laundry assistance, tidying resident rooms, and keeping common areas organized.
- Observation & Reporting: Monitor health, mood, and behavior; report changes to the nurse/supervisor.
- Activity Support: Help residents participate in recreational and social activities.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to resident needs and follow emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to quality resident care
- Caregiving/assisted living experience preferred (training provided)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to assist with lifting, transfers, and mobility
- Ability to follow care plans and facility procedures
Schedule:
- Positions Available
- Shift 1: 03:00PM – 11:00 PM
- Shift 2: 11:00 PM – 07:30 AM
