HIRING FOR A 97 YEARS OLD, VISUALLY IMPARIED WITH AUDITORY IMPAIRMENT
Seeking a dependable, organized, and compassionate individual to assist a psychiatrist in her Upper West Side home.
This is not a traditional corporate administrative position so, there is NO ROOM TO "GROW". It is a unique role supporting an independent older adult who still has her wits about her, manages her personal affairs and is transitioning into retirement. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, is patient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working one-on-one.
Primary Responsibilities
- Organize personal and tax-related documents
- Assist with correspondence, forms, and general administrative tasks
- Upload documents securely for accountants and tax professionals
- Help organize files and maintain orderly records
- Assist with calendar reminders and appointments
- Read and review mail and emails together
- Provide light technology assistance (computer, phone, scanning, etc.)
- Offer companionship while completing day-to-day tasks
Ideal Candidate
- Exceptionally organized
- Comfortable with paperwork and document management
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Patient, kind, and professional with a sense of humor
- Comfortable working with an older adult
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality
- VERY Timely, reliable and consistent
Nice to Have
- Experience working with seniors
- Administrative or executive assistant experience
- Familiarity with bookkeeping, taxes, or document organization
- Experience coordinating with accountants, attorneys, or other professionals
Schedule
Approximately 2 days per week, 4 hours per day, with some flexibility as needs evolve.
HIRE 1: 9AM- 1 PM TUESDAY - FRIDAY
HIRE 2 : 1 PM - 5PM TUESDAY - FRIDAY
The role will begin with a paid trial period to ensure it is a good fit for both parties.
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
