Position Summary
As the backbone of our office, you'll play a key role as Mercer Island's Broker Services Representative (BSR) in creating a welcoming environment while supporting our brokers with transaction coordination, marketing, technology, and day-to-day office operations. This is a dynamic part-time position (25 hours per week) that requires in-office presence, making it ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, solving problems, staying organized, and wearing many hats.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive broker support, including listing, transaction, client service, and basic marketing and social media assistance.
- Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, answering phones and warmly welcoming clients and guests.
- Coordinate communication between brokers and internal support departments, including IT and accounting teams.
- Assist brokers with technology, office equipment, company software, and troubleshooting common issues.
- Provide training and guidance on John L. Scott tools and systems.
- Help ensure transaction files are complete and compliant while supporting communication with the commission team.
- Maintain office organization, appearance, and operational standards.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures and light facility upkeep.
- Plan, coordinate, and support office, client appreciation, and community events that strengthen relationships, enhance the office culture, and promote the John L. Scott brand.
- Foster positive, collaborative relationships with brokers, office leader, and corporate departments.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front office, administrative, or similar support role.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to learn new technology quickly.
- Experience using social media and digital marketing tools for business purposes.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.
- Real estate, sales, marketing, or transaction coordination experience is a plus.

Position & Benefits:
· The position is in-person, part-time, 25 hours per week (schedule dependent on qualified candidate’s availability), and is considered non-exempt for purposes of Wage and Hour Law.
- Pay is from $20 to $23 (Per hour).
