Part-Time High School Reading & Math Teacher – Pinellas County
Believe to Achieve is hiring FL-certified teachers for our Title I Reading & Math programs. This is a great fit for a certified secondary teacher looking for flexible part-time hours (up to 20 hrs/week, Monday–Thursday) while helping high school students close learning gaps and get back on track for graduation.
What You'll Do
- Deliver small-group and one-on-one reading and math instruction to students in grades 9-12
- Support students working toward credit recovery, FSA/EOC readiness, and graduation requirements
- Administer assessments and track student progress
- Create lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill gaps
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents, classroom teachers, and guidance counselors
- Maintain student files and complete required reporting documents
What You Need
- Florida Teaching Certification (Secondary Education, Reading, and/or Math) or a Statement of Eligibility
- Experience teaching high school-age students
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively with school staff, counselors, and families
- Solid computer skills and strong written/verbal communication
