Location: Northeast Florida (Jacksonville / St. Augustine Market)
Salary Range: $65,000 – $120,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
Position Summary
Jalaram Hotel Group and Vista Management Group are seeking an experienced, results-driven General Manager to join our leadership team. We are looking for a hospitality professional with a proven track record in hotel operations, sales, revenue management, financial performance, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate will possess strong multi-brand experience, preferably with brands we currently own and operate, including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Best Western. This leader must be highly accountable, detail-oriented, financially savvy, and committed to executing ownership directives while driving exceptional guest experiences and profitability.
This position requires a hands-on leader who is focused on GOP growth, NOI performance, revenue generation, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with ownership, develop high-performing teams, and consistently deliver results in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Provide overall leadership and direction for hotel operations.
- Ensure all departments operate efficiently while maintaining brand standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, professionalism, and service excellence.
- Lead by example through active management by walking around (MBWA).
- Execute ownership initiatives and directives with consistency and follow-through.
- Maintain strong communication and working relationships with ownership and corporate leadership.
Financial Management
- Achieve or exceed budgeted GOP and NOI targets.
- Analyze financial statements, labor reports, forecasting, and operating metrics.
- Monitor and control departmental expenses and CPOR performance.
- Develop and execute action plans to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Sales & Revenue Management
- Drive occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and total revenue performance.
- Partner closely with sales and revenue management teams.
- Review market trends, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies.
Food & Beverage
- Provide leadership and oversight for food and beverage operations.
- Drive profitability while maintaining quality and guest satisfaction.
Team Development
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop department leaders and associates.
- Build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hotel General Manager experience.
- Multi-brand hotel experience required.
- Experience with Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and/or Best Western brands strongly preferred.
- Proven success leading both select-service and full-service hotel operations.
- Strong food and beverage operational experience.
- Demonstrated success in sales leadership and revenue management.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret P&L statements and financial reports.
- Proven ability to drive GOP and NOI growth.
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to effectively communicate with ownership, corporate leadership, and hotel teams.
