Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) – Residential Treatment Program

Appalachian Children’s Home is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our dedicated team providing therapeutic services in a residential setting. We work with boys and girls ages 11–18 who are overcoming trauma, behavioral challenges, and emotional health issues.
What You’ll Do
As a QMHP, you’ll play a key role in the development and implementation of treatment plans. Under the supervision of our Treatment Director, you’ll deliver a combination of individual, group, and family therapy to residents (ages 11-17) on your caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessments (CANS, SASSI, DSM-V, etc.)
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Provide weekly individual and group therapy
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings
- Manage documentation, reports, and clinical notes in a timely and confidential manner
- Assist with crisis evaluations and transition planning
- Maintain compliance with licensure and professional ethical standards
- Participate in an on-call rotation for 24/7 crisis support
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a human services field
- Licensed or working under supervision in Kentucky as one of the following:
- CSW, LCSW, LPCA, LPCC, LMFT, LPA, Licensed Art Therapist, or Licensed Behavior Analyst
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Experience working with adolescents and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to ethical practice and confidentiality
- Pass criminal background check and drug screen
