Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cherry Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently picking and moving products within the warehouse using a cherry picker or order picker equipment. This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity to ensure that orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.
Responsibilities
- Operate cherry picker equipment to select and retrieve items from high shelving units.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and storage areas.
- Accurately pick orders according to specified requirements using a Warehouse Management System.
- Ensure all materials are handled safely and in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the warehouse.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting discrepancies or issues with stock levels.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in materials handling, particularly with cherry pickers or order pickers.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is a plus, particularly in order picking and loading/unloading tasks.
