Position: PRN Hospice Nurse (LVN or RN) – On-Call / As Needed
Location: Dallas Metroplex (Must reside within the Dallas area)

Position Summary:
The PRN On-Call Hospice Nurse provides skilled nursing care to hospice patients in their homes or facilities during evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. This role is crucial in ensuring continuous, high-quality care outside of standard business hours. The nurse will respond to patient and caregiver needs, manage symptoms, and provide emotional support during critical moments.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to urgent patient needs during on-call hours
- Perform physical assessments and symptom management
- Communicate and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team as needed
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families
- Document all patient encounters and clinical findings accurately
- Ensure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up
- Routine visits and admissions
Qualifications:
- Current LVN or RN license in the State of Texas
- Hospice or palliative care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Must reside in the Dallas Metroplex and be able to travel within the area
- Ability to work independently and remain calm in high-pressure situations
