We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic mental health care team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including primary care providers, social workers, and specialists—to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication management.
- Participate in telehealth consultations to extend mental health services across diverse geographic locations.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in good standing.
- No current or pending malpractice lawsuits.
- Valid DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical psychiatric setting.
- Works well independently and as part of a team while benefitting from clinical support and mentorship.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care.
