Summary of the Job:
To ensure product quality throughout the packing and shipping operations throughout the facility. Responsible for ensuring the quality of our pears. Day-to-day work involves careful inspections and the enforcement of quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Gather crop data from Field Representatives
· Communicate with Sales team on product quality
· Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
· Be aware of inventory and location of inventory
· Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate products
· Ensure products adhere to quality standards
· Perform and oversee detailed and recorded inspections of products in process and final products so the products are up to industry and company standards prior to shipment
· Document and report product quality levels
· Develop and implement standards for inspection
· Develop a workflow for product inspection from receiving to shipping
· Work with Presize and Packaging to ensure quality standards are understood and met
· Communicate with other team members to solve problems
· Follow up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found
· Train and oversee other quality assurance members on all inspection processes
· Other duties as assigned
· Minimum High School Degree or equivalent
· Minimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance
· A keen eye for detail
· Communication skills
· Computer literacy
· Database management
· The ability to closely follow quality standards
· Decision-making skills
· Excellent English oral and written communication skills
· Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
This job supervises other QC tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.30 - $28.40 per hour
