Position Overview
LimRic Commercial Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Light Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate plumbing estimates and proposals for commercial and light-commercial projects including tenant upfits, restaurants, retail spaces, offices, medical facilities, multifamily common areas, and small ground-up projects.
The ideal candidate understands commercial plumbing systems, can read construction documents, communicates at high level with vendors, owners and field teams, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
· Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
· Perform quantity takeoffs for plumbing systems and equipment
· Prepare detailed project estimates and proposals
· Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
· Coordinate with project managers, field supervisors, and clients
· Attend pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits
· Identify value engineering opportunities and potential scope gaps
· Maintain organized bid files and estimating records
· Assist with project turnover and handoff to operations teams
· Track labor, material, and equipment pricing trends
Qualifications
· Experience in commercial or light-commercial plumbing estimating preferred
· Field plumbing experience strongly preferred
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
· Knowledge of plumbing codes and commercial construction practices
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and estimating software
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
· Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
Preferred Experience
· Experience with:
o Restaurants
o Retail buildouts
o Office renovations
o Medical office plumbing
o Tenant improvement projects
o Small commercial new construction
· Familiarity with Technology Including:
o Microsoft Suite Software
o Procore
o Bluebeam
o FastPIPE or similar estimating platforms
