Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Experienced Veterinary Technician or CVT/RVT to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and the skills necessary to provide high-quality veterinary services. This role involves working closely with veterinarians to ensure the health and well-being of animals, assisting in medical procedures, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Provide animal restraint during examinations and procedures to ensure safety for both the animal and staff.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and training techniques.
- Document patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Dental cleaning (extractions are a plus)
- Drug calculations
- Knowledge of common medications
- Cystocentesis
- Cytology
- IV catheter placement
- Surgery prep and monitoring

Qualifications
- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred; experience in a veterinary setting is highly valued.
- Proficiency in safely handling both feline and K9
- Knowledge of veterinary practices, animal care standards, and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care for all animals.
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
