Job Summary
Froso’s Family Dining is looking for a skilled, fast-paced Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will handle a specific station, prep fresh ingredients, and execute dishes to high standards during busy services. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, communicates well with a team, and takes pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen.
Core Responsibilities
- Station Prep: Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and prep ingredients for service.
- Food Execution: Cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Timing & Teamwork: Coordinate cooking times with other line cooks to ensure tables receive food together.
- Kitchen Safety: Maintain a clean, sanitized workstation and follow all food handling and safety regulations.
- Shift Wrap-Up: Clean equipment, rotate stock using FIFO methods, and label containers at the end of the shift.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1+ years of experience working as a line cook in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Knowledge: Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques (sauté, grill, fry).
- Certification: Must possess or obtain a valid Alaska DEC Food Worker Card within 30 days of hire.
- Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods of time, work in hot environments, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
