American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 1-2 years of experience for a pediatric outpatient position serving infants through adolescents.

Outpatient pediatric setting serving infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
-
Caseload includes autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders
-
Approximately 9 patient visits per day
-
Schedule options: 4x10s (Mon, Tue, Thu 7:30am–6:00pm; Fri 7:30am–5:00pm) or 5x8s (3 days 9:30am–6:00pm, 2 days 7:30am–4:00pm)

No weekend shifts required

Documentation via WellSky and Epic

Supported by interpretation services, physical therapy, and unit secretary staff

Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
-
Active MI SLP license required; pending OH license acceptable if applicable

Current AHA BLS certification
-
1-2 years of experience as a licensed SLP

Pediatric outpatient setting experience required

Epic charting experience required
-
Proficiency in pediatric-specific skills including autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders
-
Experience with billing documentation including assessments, evaluations, plan of care, Medicaid, reassessments, discharge, and SLP evaluation coding
-
Knowledge of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
-
Experience with patient and family education
-
SSN, DOB, and AHA certifications required for consideration
-
2 professional supervisor references from within the last 24 months required; one reference contact must be submitted within 72 hours of signing

License required if applicable

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Floating to other units and/or facilities is expected as needed
-
Requested time off of 7 or more days requires manager approval; time off around holidays (eves and days after) is not permitted

Black scrubs required

Preferred skills include augmentative and alternative communication devices, communication boards, and a variety of pediatric evaluation tools such as CELF, PLS-4, and Rossetti Infant-Toddler Language Scale

Preferred pediatric experience includes bronchopulmonary dysplasia, fluency, hearing impairments, TBI, voice, and mental/behavioral/neurodevelopmental disorders

No block scheduling; schedules may be adjusted with two weeks' notice, and sick shifts may be made up in coordination with the unit leader
-
Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
-
Travel pairs are accepted; unrelated pairs may work on the same unit, while related pairs may be placed at the same facility but not the same unit
