Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Senior Title Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough title searches, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing exceptional service to clients throughout the closing process. This role requires a strong understanding residential/commercial transactions, bankruptcy, foreclosure, estate law, out of possession issues, and issuance of policy endorsements. Prior experience in a similar role at another agent or underwriter is required.
Responsibilities
- Review abstracts and prepare comprehensive title examinations to identify any issues or exceptions against properties.
- Prepare and review legal documents, undertakings, escrow and indemnity agreements related to property transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, and lenders to facilitate smooth closings.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting property titles, including complying with underwriting bulletins.
- Assist in drafting legal documents as needed, ensuring adherence to established protocol.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years experience as Title Officer/Clearance/Counsel or Juris Doctorate in Law preferred.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and Trackerpro title software
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while providing exceptional customer service.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
