Morning Shift Starting at 5:00am - Full Time

Prime Line Distributors is an importer of selected specialty foods, from artisanal cheeses, fine cured meats, charcuterie, extra virgin olive oils, aged vinegars, imported pastas, truffles, wild mushrooms, San Marzano tomatoes, imported rice, imported flours, ancient grains, Italian espresso, and many more other specialty products. We deliver daily with our own fleet of refrigerated trucks with our divisions located in New York City, South & Central Florida, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable and safety-conscious Warehouse Associate, to be a part of our team.
What you will do:
- Receive merchandise, checks and sign delivery receipt/bill of lading
- Verify the quality and quantity of items against supporting documents. I.e. purchase orders, bill of lading or packing slip
- Accept or return merchandise according to established procedures
- Stocking and restocking merchandise according to established procedures
- Correspond with establishment representatives to correct issues and discrepancies
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for transport
- Contact carrier representatives to make transport arrangements
- Assist other departments as needed
- Exceptional organization skills are required
- Selecting orders of products needed to fill customer's orders
- Preparing orders for delivery in an efficient and accurate manner.
- General warehouse clean-up and maintenance.
About you:
- One Year Selector experience preferred
- Proficient/skilled with electric pallet jack experience preferred
- Ability to work productively.
- Ability to lift and stack objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read and understand numbers and basic English and Spanish.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must have experience using a pallet jack
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
Safety Responsibilities
The employee shall be fully aware with all safety policies and procedures. Takes an active role in all fire drills during the shift and/or emergencies for internal and external disasters as monitored by supervisor and incident manager. Must comply with facility in-service requirements.
