Under general supervision, the Maintenance Worker performs routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs of facility equipment, building systems, and grounds. Ensures the facility is maintained in a safe, clean, and operational condition in accordance with established policies, procedures, and union standards.
Perform daily inspections of mechanical equipment and building systems; report unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform minor adjustments or repairs as required
Inspect and maintain heating systems, including boilers, pumps, fire and water sides, and heating units, particularly during summer maintenance periods
Assist with plumbing maintenance and repairs, including toilets, sinks, water fountains, sewer lines, and related fixtures
Assist in basic electrical maintenance and the upkeep of air conditioning units under appropriate supervision
Perform general building maintenance, including sheetrock installation, taping, painting, tile work, grouting, and wallpapering
Assist with wheelchair maintenance and minor repairs as required
Support groundskeeping operations, including snow removal and grass cutting, as assigned
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
Follow all safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies
Minimum three (3) years of experience in building maintenance or a related trade
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance practices
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
Compensation: $26.4361 per hour
