American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring a valid MO or compact RN license and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Acute care hospital setting with 233 staffed beds
-
Med/Surg Telemetry unit with the option to float to another telemetry unit based on facility needs

Patient ratio of 1:5
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Every other weekend requirement: Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on existing rotation

Clerical support available on day shift only

No on-call requirements

Charting via Epic (experience required)

Block scheduling is not available for this position

Active MO RN license or compact RN license valid in Missouri required at time of consideration; IL candidates may be considered with a pending IL license

Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of orientation

Travelers may work at this facility (part of the BJC health system) for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required

Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
