American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Tech for a hospital CVOR unit position, requiring 2 years of experience and BLS certification, with first-time travelers welcome.

Work in a hospital CVOR unit

Cardiovascular patient population requiring open heart, valve, and vascular surgeries
-
Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour days (6:00–16:30)

Specialized cardiovascular procedures include aortic aneurysm repair, CABG, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, and TAVR
-
Equipment used includes electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources/cords

Epic EMR experience preferred
-
Minimum of 2 years of CVOR surgical tech experience

BLS certification required
-
Proficiency in aseptic technique, specimen handling/labeling, and universal protocol (time-out) procedures
-
Experience with cardiovascular procedures including aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, and TAVR
-
CABG experience preferred

Vein harvesting experience preferred

License required if applicable

Former permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO during the first week of orientation

All RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
