We are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, and energetic language educators to bring the world to North Carolina through playful adult language education.
THIS POSITION IS FOR A MEDICAL SPANISH TEACHING POSITION. Courses and private lessons will be conducted online. There may be opportunities for in-person courses in North Carolina. This is not a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Medical Spanish instruction to adult medical professionals (physicians, nurses, physician assistants, medical assistants, etc.) using a provided curriculum
- Attend monthly professional development with language teachers at Vecino Center for Language and Culture
Qualifications:
- Advanced to native-level Spanish proficiency
- Experience teaching Spanish grammar to adults
- Strong understanding of medical terminology in both English and Spanish
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to facilitate engaging, interactive lessons using a provided curriculum
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Bachelor's degree required (higher degree preferred) in Spanish, education, linguistics, healthcare, public health, or a related field
- Previous experience working in healthcare
- Willingness to attend monthly professional development meetings and collaborate with the Vecino Center teaching team
