Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drink options.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such Toast; handle cash handling with precision.
- Develop new beverage recipes and enhance existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste through effective stock rotation.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service during busy hours or special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold all food handling procedures and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Experience
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with fine dining
- Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, beverage recipe development, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast; experience processing cash transactions accurately.
- Extensive beverage knowledge including spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, and cocktail creation.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple orders efficiently.
- Experience working in hospitality industry environments that emphasize food safety standards and responsible alcohol service.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail in beverage preparation and cleanliness standards.
