Travel Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) – Acute Care Hospital | Arcata, CA
InSync Consulting is hiring a Travel CLS to support a 78-bed acute care hospital laboratory in Arcata, CA. Enjoy a 13-week assignment with extension potential and an ASAP start.
The ideal candidate will have strong Blood Bank and the ability to work independently in a hospital laboratory setting while supporting high-quality patient care.
Job Duties:
- Perform clinical laboratory testing across multiple laboratory departments with a focus on Blood Bank.
- Conduct blood typing, antibody screens, crossmatches, and transfusion-related testing
- Perform complex laboratory procedures and ensure accurate, timely reporting of patient results
- Maintain quality control and follow laboratory policies, CAP, CLIA, and regulatory standards
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
- Review and verify laboratory results for accuracy before reporting
- Assist with specimen processing, documentation, and laboratory workflow
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment
Requirements:
- Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License required
- Recent Blood Bank experience required
- Previous experience working in an acute care hospital laboratory setting
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
- Must meet all credentialing and onboarding requirements prior to start
