We're seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor for a 14-week travel assignment in New York, NY! This leadership opportunity is ideal for an RN with a strong background in Care Management, discharge planning, and utilization review who is ready to oversee a multidisciplinary team and improve patient outcomes.
Position Overview
- Position: Travel Registered Nurse – Nurse Supervisor (Care Management)
- Location: New York, NY
- Assignment Length: 14 Weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide Associate Director-level supervision for the Care Management Department.
- Oversee Care Managers, Care Coordinators, and support staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Lead discharge planning and utilization review initiatives to reduce hospital readmissions.
- Develop and implement programs to improve patient care and staff performance.
- Monitor quality metrics and assist with corrective action planning when needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe patient transitions to the community.
- Assist in developing nursing policies, procedures, and educational programs.
- Maintain documentation and record-keeping systems to support quality improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Active New York RN License
- Primary Source Verification of RN License from NYSED
- BLS Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- CCM (Certified Case Manager) Certification
- PRI Certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in discharge planning and utilization review
- Minimum 7 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role
- Experience in Care Management and patient care improvement
