The Waters of Gallatin is now under new ownership and called Hickory Grove Post Acute. We are looking to hire an in-house RD that will help serve our population of 124 skilled nursing patients.
The primary purpose of the job position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Food Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that quality nutritional services are being provided on a daily basis and that the food services department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
As Dietitian, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. Additional duties to include:
> Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct our facility’s Food Services Department, its programs and activities.
> Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions. Make recommendations to the Administrator.
> Review and develop a plan of correction for any food service deficiencies noted during state/federal surveys and provide a written copy of such plan to the Administrator for his/her approval.
> Assist the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in developing and implementing plans of action to correct any food service deficiencies.
> Perform regular inspections of dietary service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
Education:
Must possess, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
