PrideStaff is currently seeking a collaborative, hands-on Bilingual HR Generalist to support a construction team in New Orleans. This 100% on-site role serves as the primary resource for our local crew, while also providing vital HR support to our teams expanding across various states. In this role, you will ensure effective communication, safety, and compliance across our entire footprint.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for skilled trades and administrative staff, including local hiring events and onboarding.
- Act as an advisor and advocate, conducting field visits and connecting with our multi-state workforce in both English and Spanish to promote a safety-first culture.
- Manage federal, state, and local guidelines across all operating regions.
- Coordinate with the Safety Director on workers' compensation processes, regional guidelines, and OSHA record-keeping.
- Partner with the finance team on time-tracking, multi-state local tax withholdings, and benefits enrollment for local and regional field staff.
- Maintain employee files, job-site certifications, and offboarding processes.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual Fluency (English/Spanish) required for employee engagement and translation of safety/HR communications.
- 3–5 years of HR experience in construction, engineering, or heavy industry is required.
- Comfort navigating differing state-level employment guidelines and payroll nuances is highly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, MS Excel, and industry software such as Foundation and Arcoro.
- Ability to work 100% in-person in New Orleans with regular local site visits, while seamlessly supporting our broader workforce digitally.
