Duties
- Manage all aspects of dental office operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to maximize productivity and patient satisfaction
- Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, medical billing, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and compliance with healthcare policies
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing guidance on medical office management, human resources practices, and team development
- Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like DENTRIX, ensure HIPAA compliance and data security
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and patient care quality
- Ensure adherence to health regulation policies including JCAHO standards, HIPAA regulations, and other applicable healthcare compliance requirements
- Facilitate communication between healthcare providers, patients, insurance companies, and vendors to streamline practice management processes
Skills
- Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare practice management with strong supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical administrative support functions including medical billing, coding, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR Dentrix. Familiarity with patient management software is essential
- Strong fiscal management abilities encompassing budgeting, financial analysis, and managed care processes
- Excellent managerial communication skills to lead teams effectively while maintaining high customer service standards
- Deep understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and health policy policies
- Ability to handle complex medical records management and ensure legal compliance across all documentation processes
