We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic assessments using ICD-10 coding standards.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, therapy, and other evidence-based interventions.
- Prescribe medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, and botulinum toxin treatments when appropriate, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Manage medication administration, monitor patient responses, and adjust treatments accordingly to optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate with psychiatrist, therapists, case managers, and specialists to ensure patient outcomes are optimal.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation and compliance with HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current licensure in the practicing state.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including children, seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Athenahealth or Cerner; experience with telehealth platforms is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology related to psychotropic medications and familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Critical care experience or hospital medicine background preferred; experience in behavioral health or acute psych facilities is advantageous.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to perform physical examinations when necessary.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
