Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Pro Shop Attendant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our pro shop, ensuring seamless guest services, managing retail sales, and supporting event operations. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create memorable experiences for our members and visitors while maintaining safety and operational standards across outdoor and indoor venues.
Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests warmly, providing excellent customer service and assistance with retail purchases and event inquiries
- Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, processing cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment
- Assist with event management by setting up equipment, coordinating guest arrivals, and supporting event staff during tournaments or social functions
- Handle manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or equipment safely and efficiently
- Enforce safety protocols including first aid procedures, CPR certification requirements, and adherence to health guidelines during all activities
- Support outdoor work activities like setting up outdoor event spaces or maintaining the pro shop area to ensure cleanliness and safety
- Manage conflict resolution professionally when dealing with guest concerns or disputes to ensure a positive environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles; experience in hospitality or food service is a plus
- Knowledge of event venue operations and experience managing events is highly desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with outdoor work experience preferred
- Strong communication skills for public speaking and guest interactions
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately
- Certification in CPR and first aid; knowledge of safety protocol adherence is essential
- Experience working with children or in theater environments is advantageous for engaging younger guests or supporting entertainment events
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting; comfortable standing for extended periods
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and processing cash transactions
