This is a great opportunity for a host to join King Estate Winery, located in Eugene, Oregon. Our ideal
host believes in the pursuit of outstanding customer service, growth in on-site sales and educating
customers about the King Estate wine portfolio. Hospitality experience required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide the highest level of guest service whether in person or on the phone
- Understand the breadth of King Estate in order to provide knowledge to guests on the phone or
in person
• Proactively manage reservations
- Assist with winery and wine club events as needed
- Follow all King Estate procedures for opening/closing procedures
• Maintain competence with computer functions, including retail POS systems
- Answer phones, process orders, perform cashier operation
- Maintain cleanliness of the Host Desk and Tasting Room
- Know when to seek management assistance
Requirements / Competencies:
- Two (2) years of experience in the hospitality industry
- Providing support to servers’ tables as needed and managers as directed
- Highly motivated, hospitality- and sales-driven with an outstanding work ethic
- Communicate well with customers, management and co-workers
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and gracious behavior when environment becomes
stressful and fast-paced
- Excellent accuracy, time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality and adherence to operating procedures
- Perform any other job functions deemed necessary by management
- Valid OLCC, food handlers license, and dependable transportation
- Flexible schedule required: evenings, weekends, holidays as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Stand, sit, walk for extended periods of time
- Working environment has exposure to both indoors and outdoors
