Necessary Skills Include:
- Taking patient medical histories and vital signs, as well as in performing venipunctures, injections and diagnostic procedures and ancillary tests (e.g., EKGs, urinalysis, etc).
- Interested in focused and specialized preventative testing including but not limited to: gait speed, ankle brachial index, InBody composition, visual acuity, grip strength, and hearing testing.
- Ensure the cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance of all facilities, exam rooms and equipment.
- Help implement practice’s quality assurance and control program. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CLIA and OSHA regulations.
- React calmly and effectively in emergency situations, and add the personal, caring touch that immediately puts patients at ease.
- Handle administrative duties (e.g., answering phones, scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, processing patients, billing and bookkeeping) that allow providers to focus on the health concerns of their patients.
- Work within the team dynamic to help share tasks and duties and ensure all responsibilities are taken care of.
