ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Condition material surfaces by abrasive blasting, grinding, sanding, polishing and cleaning operations.
- Apply/remove protective coverings and masking from stainless steel sheet, threads and other features used to mitigate damage during process operations or used for preservation of surface conditions.
- Assist with loading and removal of materials and subassemblies from process operation staging areas.
- Package materials, subassemblies and assemblies for local and/or long-distance shipment by palletization, banding, wrapping or other methods.
- Load and unload local and long-distance carriers.
- Clean, organize and maintain shop and office spaces.
- Assist with facility maintenance and janitorial activities.
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 0-2 years’ experience in fabrication shop environment
- Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner
- Ability to operate material handling equipment
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals. Employees must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.
Compensation:
The approximate pay range for this position is $19.50-$21/hour. Please note that the pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location. Pay: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
